| Avez-vous entendu parler de ce film? Il raconte l'histoire d'un homme qui vit à l'envers des autres: né vieillard, plus les années passent et plus il rajeunit. Montré du doigt et marginalisé, sa vie est mise à l'épreuve quand il tombe amoureux d'une femme de trente ans: quelle sera leur destinée commune au fil des années?
Depuis que j'ai découvert la bande-annonce par hasard il y a quelques mois, c'est devenu l'un de mes films les plus attendus (si ce n'est le plus) des semaines à venir. Il sort à Noel aux USA et en février 2009 en France. En tout cas ce projet confirme Fincher comme l'un des réalisateurs les moins commerciaux et les plus atypiques du cinéma US, et sûrement l'un des plus doués (la BA est simplement magnifique). Concernant Button, on parle d'un budget de 200 millions de $, et d'avancées technologiques importantes (recréation 3D complête du personnage de Brad Pitt).

| J'ai vu le trailer il y a quelques semaines sur Internet et je pense que je vais aller le voir car la bande annonce et le résumé m'intrigue beaucoup.
Comme je ne sais pas vaiment à quoi m'attendre , je ne pourrais pas être déçue.
En attendant, j'espère que d'ici la sortie du film on en saura un peu plus. |

| J'adore le réalisateur, j'adore l'acteur principal, j'adore le Trailer. Autrement dit : Un de mes films les plus attendus de l'année (prochaine).

| J'ai longtemps trouvé les films de Fincher surestimés, mais je dois avouer que j'ai été conquis par Zodiac. The Curious Case of Benjamin Button me fait très très envie, déjà je suis curieux de voir comment Fincher va gérer son premier film au sujet on va dire moins ... morbide. D'autre part le cast a l'air excellent (Brad Pitt, Cate Blanchett et Tilda Swinton qui commence à se faire sa place à Hollywood  ) d'autant plus que si je dois reconnaitre une qualité au réalisateur, c'est bien sa direction d'acteurs. Enfin le synopsis et la BA me font bien saliver.
Juste comme ça, la critique d'AICN. Ca s'annonce très bon  :

Whatever the film was—I was just excited to watch something on their screen. But I was not disappointed when we found out it was David Fincher’s upcoming film, THE CURIIOUS CASE OF BENJAMIN BUTTON.

The film tells the story of Benjamin Barker (Brad Pitt) who is born an old man and ages backwards. In the midst of his awkward and unexplainable body changes, he falls in love with a fellow small-town girl by the name of Daisy (Cate Blanchett). The film tells the story of Benjamin’s entire life, however, it mainly focuses on him and Daisy, who are slowly but surely aging in opposite directions. Based on F. Scott Fitzgerald’s short story of the same name.
First off, this does not feel at all like a David Fincher film. I think die-hard Fincher fans are going to be quite surprised. At its core, it’s a very romantic film. He has certainly stepped out of his box and certainly out of his usual realm of creativity. There were many moments in the film that felt almost Tim Burton-eqsue.
The film starts out amazingly. The story itself won’t have any trouble reeling people in because Fincher is a great storyteller and the source material is top notch. However, I felt this film suffers from the same mistake Zodiac suffered from: things fell apart toward the end. The film is somewhere near three hours. By an hour and a half/forty five, the audience was getting restless. I could hear them squirming in their seats in front and behind me. The last hour is ultimately weighed down by a lot of repetition that has to do with the romance between Pitt and Blanchett. The film is truly great up until the final hour where things begin to feel muddled and unnecessary.
I know that seems like a lot of negative feedback. However, trust me, there is a great deal of excellence in the film. Claudio Miranda’s cinematography paired with Alexandre Desplat’s beautiful score makes for some truly magical moments. In fact, most of the film is filled with these kinds of moments. It works more than it doesn’t work; it’s just the final hour that needs to be tightened up, as well as some rough patches toward the middle. As far as performances go, Pitt and Blanchett are very good, but there are some definite dry moments.
The special effects and make-up in this film are truly amazing. Brad Pitt’s descent into youth is never once unbelievable; it looks tremendously authentic. The same goes for Blanchett’s aging process. The announcer said the film’s effects weren’t quite finished yet, which is even more impressive.
With all that said, the film is still in the very early stages of it’s life considering it won’t be released until Christmas. Fincher and his team have a lot of time to polish it up. I’m sure these test screenings will reveal the film’s obvious missteps, because I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one who felt this way. Beneath it’s sprawling three hours, a beautiful film exists. I have faith that Fincher will find it. |

Que dire à part que c'est MA-GNI-FIQUE ! Un mélange de Big Fish et de L'homme sans âge de Coppola, ça s'annonce grandiose !! Et que dire de Brad Pitt qui tient probablement ici le rôle de sa vie ! L'attente va être longue, vivement le mois de Janvier que ce film puisse réchauffer nos soirées d'hiver !
Par contre soyez prévenu, le trailer spoils beaucoup trop !

| Effectivement, les mots manquent. C'est splendide. Ca fait un peu mélo par moments, mais j'aime bien. 
Je pense qu'on tient là un potentiel gagnant aux Oscars (il serait temps pour Fincher), surtout (le trailer nous le montre incroyablement bien) en ce qui concerne les effets spéciaux/visuels. C'est sidérant...  |

| J'ai vu la bande-annonce de ce film tout à fait par hasard aujourd'hui, et je dois dire qu'il attire particulièrement mon attention. L'histoire est bien trouvée (qui n'a jamais imaginé cette drôle de situation que serait de vivre à l'envers ?) et esthétiquement les images ont l'air magnifiques!
Et puis bon, David Fincher quoi..
Bref, reste plus qu'à patienter.
